“Of course not. This film is a reimagining, a historical arthouse sci-fi epic! And even more great news, you can all be in it! As extras and mid-players, of course, nothing like my leading role, but still.”
Lance Richmond to the other Nexo Knights in "The Golden Castle"

The Golden Castle is a historical arthouse sci-fi epic film that is a reimagining of the original film starring Ned Knightly, with Lance Richmond in the new lead role and Jurgen von Stroheim as the director.

History[]

The Golden Castle[]

Lance Richmond was offered the lead role in the film by his agent Maynard, which he happily accepted, and invited the Nexo Knights to play extras. Macy initially refused before being convinced by Lance. The knights, however, discovered that the entire movie was little more than an excuse for Lance to appease his ego, with him playing himself instead of Ned Knightly, cutting out plot-relevant characters and deliberately altering the script to make the side character portrayed by Clay look bad.

During the acting session, they were attacked by Lava Monsters, so they had to fight them off using Ultra Armor. Jurgen filmed the action and spliced it together using editing, changing a lot of the scenes and making Lance look bad, even editing a certain scene to make him look more ridiculous than he actually was.

During the premiere of the film, Lance was shocked to find that the film made him look inferior to the other Knights and cried as everyone in the cinema laughed at him.

Knight Out[]

Lance was briefly seen watching the film before Merlok appeared to him.

Trivia[]

  • The film is said to be drastically different from the original The Golden Castle. Some of the known differences include:
    • The remake featuring much more explosions than the original film.
    • Lance Richmond's fictionalized version being the remake's main character instead of Ned Knightly.
    • Merlok not being featured in the remake at all, unlike the original film where he had a crucial role.
  • Lance intended to donate a large portion of the movie's profits to an orphanage, which Clay cited as his only reason for taking part in the filming.
